I realized that I don't have anything to update when I have school compared to when I was on holiday... Both seems like boring repetitive lives... yet I don't know... more creative since I was bored during the holidays so there was some ideas to write?
Now I just don't know what to update my blog about. No random thoughts... No random ideas for a blog post.

Just another one of my random rants. Deal with it.

What's happening to this world?

Sibu (seems off the map here), Pakistan, China. All flooding. 

Effects of global warming? 

I read a book again few days ago. VENUS by BEN BOVA. A sci-fi book. Which got me to thinking how Venus as in the 2nd planet nearest to the sun, Earth's sister planet, got to turn out the way it is. A world where the air is filled with toxic carbon dioxide and sulfuric acid, ground temperatures of up to approx. 460 degree Celcius. Can you say hot or HOT? More like freaking burning HOT. Mercury, the nearest planet to the Sun is hot [max temp, approx 420 degree Celcius] but it has cold areas too [min temp, approx -170 degree Celcius]. And this is cause of the atmospheric gases on Venus.

Will Earth turn out that way too with the greenhouse effect/global warming? However, there's not a single drop of water on Venus.
SCIENCE TIME! -- One of the effects of global warming is the melting of icebergs at the poles of the Earth which leads to higher levels of water in the oceans/seas/rivers which in turn leads to more frequent floods in low lying coastal areas. [Sibu is not even a coastal area!] Hmm... but Venus has the runaway greenhouse effect, where all the waters on Venus [if there ever was] was boiled away. Let's see, for Earth to turn into Venus, that'll definitely take a super duper long time. The icebergs gotta melt first, before they can all be boiled away. By the time all the icebergs at the poles melt, Earth would be drowned by the oceans, before it turns into disaster Venus.
RELIGION TIME! -- Bear with me here. In the Bible, God punished the wicked by flooding the Earth, covering Earth in water. It rained for 40 days and 40 nights and took months for the water to recede to wherever/evaporate. God then send a rainbow as a promise to never cover the Earth in water again. So... the 'end of the world' would be FIRE not water. Which is scarier? Water or Fire? The wicked shall die by fire and the righteous should live.

Conclusion?

I think we'll be dead before the 'end of the world' arrives. Hopefully. Get rid of the thought of the world ending in 2012, the Mayans got lazy to continue their calendar/the person who was doing the calendar died before he could finish it, heck they didn't even last till modern times. So yeah, I'll just leave it at that. :)

#32 H.O.T=HOT

It was raining in Sibu last week.

This week's weather: FREAKING HOT.

According to the weather gadget on my Windows sidebar, the temperature in Sibu is now 24°C. I don't know how I survived in Taiwan. The temperature in Taiwan was more than 10°C hotter than in Sibu right now. Now, just sitting here, I'm already sweating. My house is like a sauna! = =

Just complaining bout the hot weather here.

But seriously, Taiwan last month was super hot. Once you leave the building. Hot air comes rushing at you. And it's not windy in Taiwan like it'll be in Malaysia, least when it's hot there's some wind here. Kinda cool one at that. But not in Taiwan. It was just hot hot hot. I bet you really would fry an egg on the sidewalk. No kidding. With a temperature of up to 40°C heating up the side walk... really. I almost became BBQ Sotong. HAH. Oh, and I can't believe my cousin spent two whole days playing out in the sun, and he didn't even get  sunburn or became darker! What the... When I came back from Taiwan, it seemed that I became darker. even though I try avoiding the sun most of the time. and stayed indoors as much as possible. '~'

I wonder if I'll be complaining bout the cold when I go to Ireland. Beats me.

and yes, finally, I'll be going off to uni. Thanks CMY and Louis for being excited for me. I think they're officially the two persons whom I have told when I would start uni.

Accommodation is finally confirmed. Would be sharing a unit with two malay girls. Well, one is mixed I think. Half chinese? Anyways, will have my own room while the two of them will share the master bedroom.

Transport no problem anymore I guess. Since one of the girl is gonna get a car. If I really do need a car, maybe can rent one for the year. I think that's the solution.
 

and Dear, I would definitely study hard and look hard for cute guys... hahaha! IF there are cute guys there that is. And this doesn't mean I'm gonna get a bf k. Not anytime soon. So don't get your hopes up people! You study hard also~ And continue looking at cute guys, and try to snatch one of them up :P

x The rule of not being able to take water on board for international flights. (Bad experience: Hello? Would it kill for me to finish my water after passing the X-ray scan for the baggage? Why do I have to step back out??? Seriously. GEEZ.)

x Lugging around heavy luggage. Travel light is a total must

x Takes a lot of money to travel around. Transport... food... visiting museums? theme parks? =S 

x Long queue at immigration

Conclusion

I love travelling. I should marry a millionaire or a billionaire or just someone rich enough so that I don't have to work and can go travelling, all expenses paid. XD

So far can't think of the title for this blog post. Yet. 

Reason I can't think of what to name this post is cause I'll be talking bout different things. 

Had a gathering last Tuesday night with a bunch of friends. Gatherings are just so fun to be at. We were supposed to meet at 1930 at Shabu shabu. However, us being us, we were late, most of us at least. And shabu shabu was closed. So we went to Noodle House--reached there around 8. Took us slightly more than half an hour to place our orders. We chatted, laughed, took tons of photos, be the crazy people we are whenever we hang out together. It was like we own the place. Hah. I think they were waiting for us to leave so that they would close for the day.

We being me, cmy, kh, Winny, Zeng Gu, Chloe, Esther, Diana, Clarence, Wren, Darren T, Haw Jeng, Martin, Roland and his gf. 15 of us :)

Packed halfway, will pack the other half when I wake up later in the morning. Hope I won't miss/forget anything. Flight to Kuching at 1135. Then flight to Singapore would be 4 something in the afternoon. 

Taiwan in 4 days. Bro's reception in 2 days. Singapore, later in the day. 

A shoutout to CMY who's leaving for Melbourne today. She has an early flight to KL. like 7 something. Been there done that. I mean the waking up to catch the same kinda flight to KL. All the best to my dear. Hope you'll do fine in Melb and make lots of new friends and don't hang out with you-know-who-that-gave-you-a-scare =X Will miss you tons dear ❤ *hugs*

#23 Korean Name

I saw on twitter, a person whom I'm following... AA_CHAN playing around with the Korean name generators. So I decided to play with it too. :D
He used two websites.

From the 1st website... I typed in my name Chua Yew Yee. And it gave me Cha Yeon Yeon 차연연.... Erm... ok? Guess it sounds ok. Second time, I tried using the name Chua I Ris. This time the name given to me is Cha Min Rin 차민린.
The 2nd website which is just absolutely ridiculous... cause it gives you a Korean name according to your birth date regardless of your gender. So I got Kim Rae Jin 김래진. I do not know if that's a guy or girl's name. Sounds boyish to me.

If I were to translate my own name... according to the pronunciation... Chua Yew Yee... It'll be Chae Yoo Ee 채유이. Chae being the Korean surname for Chua or '蔡'.

It's raining right now. So decided to post about the rain. Don't you just love the rain on a lazy day? 

I love cuddling in bed under my blankets, reading a good book on a rainy day. It just screams perfect :)

#21 Die Mosquitoes Die!

Well, I'll be wearing long sleeves for quite a while if I'm going out. Because of my ugly mosquito bites and scars from mosquito bites on my right arm as you can see. I can't believe I got 4 mosquito bites on my right arm alone in a day! It just had to be the arm with scars. I'm a scratch-er. I scratch, over-scratch. That's why I get scars from mosquito bites. My blood must be too sweet, perfect for mosquitoes to suck on. I even have a mosquito bite on my neck, thus, I call them vampire mosquitoes now.

I think I'm getting allergic to mosquito bites. They get all red, sometimes swollen. And it'll still itch for days after I get bitten. Like the day I got bitten, it'll itch, then it doesn't anymore, next day it starts to itch again... Last time,  when I got bitten, it'll itch, won't itch anymore, end of story. But not the ones I'm having this past 2 years. They're mutating I tell you, mutating! which explains why I'm suddenly allergic to 'em. >=(

I think I've found something good enough to stop my itches though. Breath spray. Suggested by T.S. It actually works. Amway's breath spray. Should consider getting my hands on one. 

I guess I should be glad of all the thousands of mosquito bites I've had in my life, none of them led to dengue or malaria or any serious diseases those mosquitoes carry. But still....

I WANT THE WORLD TO BE RID OF MOSQUITOES! 

and lizards... and ants...
