#45 Mid-terms

Sooo. I just finished my mid-terms. Physics and Chemistry is like easy. Cause you know the concepts, everything's a smooth ride. Had that on Monday.

Today, oh wait should be yesterday now... Wednesday. Had Biology and Integrated (which includes phy, chem and bio) exams. BIO WAS LIKE HELL. Lemme tell you about my Bio lecturer, Dr A. Dr A is "mad, absolutely mad", to quote my Phy lecturer, Dr C :) Know why she's mad? I'll tell you why... It's been like what, roughly 5 weeks into the semester/term and she has already covered 20 long chapters whereas in phy and chem, only 11/12 short chapters are covered. And bio is not like chem or phy ok. Bio it's all about FACTS, chem and phy, all about CONCEPTS. Huggeeee difference there. One you understand it, you get it and remember it. The other, you understand you don't understand you still can't freaking remember it. And for a one hour Short-Answer Paper (SAP), she expects us to write like a hell lot of information for 8 questions. She gives like only half mark a point or even a quarter mark per point. WTH LAH! She think so easy remember life cycles of some bacterias, fungi or sporozoas is it. Even if we go home and read it after she teaches that chapter, who can remember it. It takes lots of repetition, more answering of tutorial questions. And the tutorial questions she give? MCQs and True/False questions. How am I suppose to remember if I don't write it down for answering structural questions. BE CONSIDERATE LAH DR A. You think we got super memory is it?

#44 HI!

First night I'm not rushing any assignments/tutorials or attempting to do any assignments/tutorials. Sooo, taking a break from dramas. been watching dramas one episode after another since I got back from uni/lunch. And since no drama, I'm bored. So let's give you an update shall we?

So where to start? Oh yeah, my mid terms gonna start in about a week. I'm dead. For bio at least.

And I got injured last saturday. Twice. Lost quite a bit of blood. One, from peeling an apple and accidentally peeling the tip of my left middle finger. That was painful, almost cried.
Second, went to the beach, climbed some rocks, slipped, stepped into the water panicking cause I didn't know how deep it was gonna be, right foot scraped the side of the rocks. After I stepped out of the water, felt pain on my foot so I looked down. BLOOD. covering my 3 last toes. Panicked. Friends ran to get clean water and tissue from the car while I stood on the rock bleeding and waiting. and trying to avoid the water from touching my bleeding foot. That was a bad day. Recovering from it now. Can say finger is fully healed though can still see the 'dent' in my finger where my flesh got cut off. Toes, looking erm, scabby with the scabs? It doesn't look that bad. Oh, and I just realized like two days ago, the part below my toes was swollen. double ouch. how hard did i hit the rock for it to get swollen.

What else to update? Nothing interesting happened to me, except for the getting injured part. so I shall leave it at that. Ta-ta!

#40 End of 9 months holiday.

9 months of holiday-ing. Doing nothing. Wasting my life away.....
In exactly a week (next Thursday, Sept 16th), I'll be leaving Sibu, heading to KL. Will be in KL for one night, then the next day, bro will be driving us 'up' to Penang.
In exactly a week and 4 days (Sept 20th), I'll be starting my 6 years medicine study at PMC/UCD or RCSI. D:

Freaking out! Nope. = 3= Still calm and collected as I usually am. I seriously hope I can cope, since I haven't been studying for sooo long. I have forgotten almost everything I learn. and get this, I still need to study physics... well medicine physics. Sighhh. Oh well, hope I can do okay with physics and pull through like I usually do.

And there's one thing. I FEEL SOOO OLD since my COUSIN'S SON will be my coursemate/classmate. WHAT THE HECK...
= 3= AAAAAHHHH. I seriously feel old and I'm not that old!

p/s worried bout financial problems... T_T someone sponsor me studies. Hope I get scholarship or at least a loan.. SIGH

#36 MERDEKA! MERDEKA! MERDEKA!!!!

This post is dedicated to my country, Malaysia on it's National Day/ Independence Day, 31st August.

Refraining from any bad things as hard as I can for this special day. 

Really trying very hard, stopping myself to say not-so-nice-to-listen(or in this case see) stuff.

Just thought of this yesterday: I am very patriotic cause I stay at Jalan Merdeka. 

HAHAHAHAHAHAH. yeah I know, lame. pfft.

Thinking back the past few years of National Day... I think of the last year of high school when my school celebrated Hari Merdeka. You see, every year we would have a special assembly for Hari Merdeka. We sing patriotic songs -- Jalur Gemilang (my fav cause of the melody), KeranaMu, and of course Negaraku (National anthem). Usually we would just sing like certain parts really loud e.g. Jalur Gemilang we would just sing JALUR GEMILANG at the chorus and especially at the end really loud. Same goes for KeranaMu! That's the fun part of it. Some students brought the Malaysian flag, ran around the hall with it. :) BUT. the special assembly wasn't on 31st August of course, it's a HOLIDAY! National days are spent lazing around at home, glad for the opportunity to skip school/classes, out shopping [usually there would be a one day Merdeka sales]. Certain years, the school had the annual food fair on National Day, so would be spent hanging out with friends having fun at school.

I don't remember how I spent National Day last year, the first year out of high school. 

Was contemplating if I should use Malay to write this post, patriotism? Hah.... decided against it. Cause definitely can't write full sentences in Malay. If rojak language, can lah (Manglish mode kicking in for a moment).

So how am I gonna spend my National Day this year? Church gonna have a BBQ party over at Jubilee Park, Bukit Aup. Hoping to be able to go there cause it's been like a year since I've had BBQ. Have to see if my parents are up for it, especially mom =/ If I do go, that would take up the morning, and a little bit of the afternoon. Maybe should go shopping too, some places might have one day sale? But I think they're having sales now anyways cause Hari Raya's coming up.

Ooooh! IDEA! At first I didn't really know what to write in this post, guess it's ending up kinda long, huh? No worries, will be ending it soon. Just gotta do this first. 

THINGS I LIKE ABOUT MALAYSIA (No ranking/order)

1. The Manglish language which is humorous. 

2. I like 'LAH' :)

3. The practically all-year-round sales. 

4. The different types of cuisines. But nowadays you can find any type of food anywhere. =/ 

5. Everything about Malaysia

5. The stupid things Malaysian does. No offense. Refer to here to see what I mean.

6. Cheap food? Not really. Scratching this too. 

7. No disasters.... except for the floods, the mudslides.................... ok scratch this too.

Guess that's all. Not much I can think of. See the strikeouts... =/ Oh well.

#14 Gangshow

2 minutes till midnight... I can still say it was This morning. Scouts had Gangshow. For those who doesn't know, Gangshow is like a talent show thing where they have to perform drama and singing or dancing (They have a choice of doing either singing or dancing this year).

They were 5 groups altogether. So that makes 10 performances. Only one group, the first group did Dance, props to them or just the guy who's the main dancer. The girls were backup dancers, and seriously, they are horrendous. It's just a few dance steps during the chorus, couldn't the girls learned it well? Geez.

Well, starting off the Gangshow, was a drama, I think it's suppose to be funny, but their conversation couldn't be heard clearly or understood, so I didn't know what was going on. The 2nd drama was BORING! I think it was a 'remake' of the girl who sold matches. 卖火柴的小女孩? Yeah... BORING. Starting from the 3rd drama, now that's interesting, they got better. Thank goodness.

I'll be uploading 3 dramas and the dance on facebook later today *It's already past midnight*. So check it out if you wanna see. I'm just about done with editing the videos. However, I'll be attempting to add the music for the dance so it won't be so distorted and stuff. I seriously regret not switching it back to normal mode when shooting the video of the dance. There is like a few short seconds gap during the video. That part is gonna be a challenge for me to sync the music with the video. Hopefully it can be done. With patience. Which I lack. And which is gonna be trained. Yessiree.

I shot the drama in compact mode, so that more videos would be shot. If I didn't use compact mode, only one drama can be shot. So the quality is terrible, and the original size of the video is small, like 300something x 200something pixels only. 


P/S I drove myself today for the first time, without my mom sitting in the passenger side seat. Hahah! Sent Gabrielle back home too. Gotta work on my parking skills D:

#11 Screaming Out Loud

I need a place to scream. Somewhere far from my parents, somewhere far from anyone. A stranded island, the North Pole, South Pole, Mars...... wherever. 烦死我了。Why does it seem so easy for other people to do, and so difficult for me? T___T someone save me from reality. Can't life just be a really really really long dream......?

#5 Age & Appearance

I've been wondering a lot lately, about how old I look. Why?
Cause kids have been saying I am 20 something year old whenever they ask my age and I asked them to guess. In case you don't know, I'm currently part time tutoring? If I might say so. I just take over classes whenever any of the teachers in my mom's tuition center takes a leave. I know I look mature, but not old right? =/ Many people think I'm the older sister too, compared to my 2nd sister and I'm the youngest in my family!

On a lighter note, my bro wants to get married which explains why I put the picture of wedding bells above. He's the 2nd sibling, gonna be 26 this October. My eldest sister who's 29 this year is not married yet, and I don't think she's intending to get married soon. She's not single, just not planning to get married yet? Bro is hoping to get married like really soon? When he called back to talk to mom last night, I heard him said in July? That's two months away! That makes me wonder if he proposed to his girlfriend yet or not. And, no, I'm not gonna ask him. Cause it seems weird to talk about that with him. If he's getting married, I'm gonna need to buy a new dress! Good excuse to buy a new dress! XD Dress shopping here I come! However, I'm gonna need to go to Singapore to do that... Hmmm

#3 The substitute teacher & trying out blog templates

Today I had to relieve a teacher teaching in my mom's tuition school. She said she might come for the class at 3, but she didn't. Dang, she ruined my plan to bake cupcakes. I was at my mom's tuition center from 12.30 (class actually starts at 12.20 but I was late cause I had to have my lunch) till 5.30. The 1st class was a-ok. 2nd class was terrible, of all the classes I ever took, they were the worst. I actually really feel like banging my head against the wall. I just can't be strict with kids. I don't know why, I just can't. The last hour of class, Mrs Han, my mom's vice principal switched classes with me since hers was writing a narrative poem. THANK YOU MRS HAN! 

That being my day, I ended up not being able to make cupcakes in time for Mother's Day since I thought we really had plain flour according to mom. But I was careless, checked everything else, and I thought for sure we had plain flour since my mom said so, so I didn't check the flour. Darn. Well, at least I have something else for mom.

Oh, and I found a new template for my blog. Not blogger's own. It's good with the fact that now you can see the whole youtube video. BUT. I don't know what's with the 'Home-About-Contact-Login' buttons. I can't get rid of it. And the nav bar is gone, so I can't just click on customize. It's a nice design really, but I don't think I'm keeping it. Will change it tomorrow or whenever I have the time. Just a picture to show you how it's like for when after I change the template.
